First of all- why write in English? Well why not? I've started this topic to encourage other users to use English. There's no need to explain why.

You write that it could be a useful educational tool... I do not remember any foreigner asking questions here. As soon as it will happen I'm sure someone will answer it. Until then...

Hi there!
What a great idea! It's true that practice makes perfect so it's a good idea to "talk" here in English. That's what I think. But what about the mistakes?
Besides, I have never talked to anyone about dogs, so I'm happy to be here.
I've got two dogs: a male spaniel Toffi and a female maltese Nel. They are both so cute.

ps. I wonder how many people will write here in English about dogs. Hope there will be many of them
